FAQ: How do I isolate a hardware failure to the N6700 mainframe or to one of the power modules?

If it is uncertain that the error is caused by the N6700 mainframe or one its modules, power down the mainframe, remove all modules, then power up the mainframe again.

If the error persists, the error is in the mainframe.

If the error does not show up, power down the mainframe, install a module, power up the mainframe, and see if error reappears. Repeat for the remaining modules until the error can be associated with one of the modules.
